About this tool
MP3 to MP4 turns an audio file into a video that sites such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X will accept. Add a cover image (album art, a logo, a photo) or let Love Video draw a clean branded background, pick a landscape, square or vertical frame, and download an MP4 whose length matches your audio.
Everything is done by your browser. The audio, the cover and the finished video stay on your device unless you choose to upload the result somewhere yourself.
How to use it
- Choose your audioDrop an MP3, M4A, WAV or OGG file onto the page, or switch to Link and paste the address of a track or video.
- Add a coverPick a cover image from your device, or use the generated background and optionally type a title to draw on it.
- Choose the shapeSelect 16:9 landscape, 1:1 square or 9:16 vertical, and whether the cover fills the frame or fits inside it.
- Create the videoPress Create video, then preview and download the MP4.
What the finished video contains
The result is a standard H.264 video with AAC audio in an MP4 container, marked for fast start so playback can begin before the file has fully loaded. The picture is a single still image shown for the whole length at 10 frames per second, which keeps the file small. The size is dominated by the sound (AAC at 192 kbps is about 1.4 MB per minute) plus a small amount for the picture.
The video is as long as your audio. There is no waveform animation or visualiser: it is a still picture with sound.
Choosing the frame size
Pick the shape that matches where the video will be shown:
- 16:9 landscape (1280 × 720): YouTube, Facebook, X and most computer screens.
- 1:1 square (1080 × 1080): feed posts on Instagram and Facebook.
- 9:16 vertical (1080 × 1920): Reels, Shorts, TikTok and Stories.
With Fill, your cover is scaled to cover the whole frame and the edges are cropped, centred, never stretched. With Fit, the whole picture is shown on a dark background, which is better for album art and logos that must not be cropped.
Using a link instead of a file
Switch to the Link tab and paste the address of a page or file that contains audio or video. Love Video’s server scans the link as the main downloader does, so that scan is logged like any other scan, and the audio passes through our server on its way to your browser. If a link has a video, its sound is used. Only use content you own or have permission to use.
Limits and tips
- The picture is static: there are no animations, captions, lyrics or visualisers.
- The audio is re-encoded to AAC at 192 kbps so that every platform can play it.
- The optional title is drawn only on the generated background, not on a cover image you supply.
- Audio files up to about 1 GB work on most desktops, and about 300 MB on phones. Very long recordings, several hours, can run out of memory.
- The first run downloads the conversion engine (about 10 MB compressed) and then keeps it in your browser’s cache.
- Platforms set their own limits for upload duration and file size, so check them before you upload.
Privacy
Your audio and your cover image stay on your device. The video is encoded by code running in your browser and saved by you. After each run Love Video receives one tiny anonymous counter (which tool, whether it worked, how long it took, a size range) with no file name or link attached. Only a pasted link is sent to our server, as it is for the downloader. See the Terms of Use.
Frequently asked questions
- Why convert MP3 to MP4?
- Many video sites and apps accept only video files. Wrapping your audio in an MP4 with a still picture is the usual way to publish a song, a podcast episode or a voice recording there.
- Which audio formats can I use?
- MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, OGG and FLAC all work, and so do most other common audio files and the sound of most video files.
- Can I use my own picture?
- Yes. Choose any JPEG, PNG or WebP image as the cover. Without one, Love Video draws a gradient background that you can add a title to.
- Is there a watermark or a length limit?
- No watermark and no length limit from us. Your device’s memory is the limit, and the sites you upload to have their own rules.
- How long does it take?
- A still-picture video is light work. A typical song finishes quickly on a laptop, and a long podcast takes longer, especially on a phone.
- Is my audio uploaded?
- No. A file you choose is processed in your browser. Only a pasted link is scanned by our server.
